Jack Roush, known for his love of Mustangs in the air and on the ground, owns several professional racing teams from 34 NASCAR champions to more than 300 racing victories. Incorporating his knowledge of speed, power, and style into his new 2005 Mustang models, Jack Roush is able to bring the aftermarket community in tune with new Mustangs.
Aesthetic details of Roush’s new Mustangs include a lowered front fascia, hood scoop, side skirts, a rear window scoop, spoiler, and bumper to mate with his new exhaust tips.
For the first time in many years, Roush has made a Mustang without his signature side exit exhaust, a decision he reluctantly made because of clearance issues with the new frame Ford designed for the new Mustangs. Mr. Roush stated: “There were only a couple of inches of clearance for us to work with on the rocker panels. Instead of risking the design with functionality issues, we decided to enhance the rear bumper treatments.” So with this note, the new Roush Mustangs take a similar look to that of the 2005 Ford Mustang Saleen.
Lowered 1 full inch and the front and a half inch in the rear, this new Mustang by Roush stands aggressively on its new 18? chrome wheels. Larger tires and a lowered stance gives this new Roush Mustang the look of raw American Muscle, but does it have the numbers to back it up?
You bet your ass it does! Based off of the 300bhp 4.6L V8 Mustang engine and with the aid of a suspension upgrade including anti roll bars, higher-rate springs, new lower control arms and Billstein shocks, the newRoush Stage 2 Mustang is capable of pulling 1G on the skidpad.
Although lacking a supercharged model in 2005, the suspension and braking upgrades of the new 2005 Roush Mustang is quite impressive and show that we have a lot to look forward to from Jack Roush and his crew in the years to come.
